Michele Bachmann has won the Ames Straw Poll, and the vast majority of sources are saying she did it in landslide fashion. The time to starting worrying is now, if reasonable people don’t stand in her way, who knows what can happen.

My grandma is in politics and she’s close friends with Michele Bachmann; it’s scary being near support for this crazy woman.

okay seriously?  can this post get any more ridiculous? michele bachmann would run this country better than any liberal moron.  liberals have no idea how to back up their facts, & bullshit & like to blame tea party members for EVERYTHING.  what we in fact NEED is a tea party supporter in office to reshape this country.  people blame the crisis in iraq on bush, well, i agree that bush had some problems, but the reality is this whole iraq ordeal was started by no other that CLINTON.  NOT BUSH.  & 60% of us military deaths in Afghanistan have occurred since obama was inaugurated!  what we need is a republican conservative in office, not a no good liberal who is going to do exactly what obama has done!  OBAMAS APPROVAL RATING IS 38% … it took bush 8 years for his rating to get that low!  now, would you rather elect another liberal who is going to turn this country into a further turmoil, or a conservative like ronald regan who you KNOW you can trust & WILL stimulate the economy & get us back on track?  LOOK AT FDR FOR AN EXAMPLE.  people like to say he was “the greatest president”.  well the fact is, HE WASNT.  during the depression, the unemployment rate PLUMMETED, as we all know, but his “programs” to try & “help” the poor only resulted in MORE POVERTY & MORE DEBT IN THE COUNTRY.  i say we need michele bachmann in office, and NOW.  & for everyone criticizing the tea party, why dont you take a minute to see what we conservatives are all about & check out the facts before you go bullshitting us & criticizing us for everything we do.  why dont you liberals all go cry over michele bachmann while watching a michael moore movie.

 Tim Albrecht, a spokesman for Iowa Gov. Terry Branstad, told me that the line for food at the Bachmann tent is the biggest he’s seen at any tent in four straw polls.

“And they’re actually going to vote for her. It’s amazing. Never seen anything like it,” Albrecht said.

A Pawlenty adviser, standing off stage minutes before Pawlenty spoke, downplayed the line, saying the Bachmann operation was less efficient and didn’t move people through as quickly, exaggerating the size of her crowd. — Jon Ward
